There are positive and negative things about these two candidates. One very negative point about Miss Clinton is about what she supports. I know for a fact that she supports abortion. If abortion was legal, think about what this world would be like. Would President Ronald Reagan have brought the United States to its highest level? Who would be here, who wouldn’t??? And besides the fact she support many other terrible things, what about the fact she will be the first woman President of the greatest nation on earth? Although females may be called the weaker sex, think about Margaret Thatcher, the first woman Prime Minister of Great Britain. She "promised a return to more free enterprise capitalism, traditional values, and a strong stand against Communism" and did she do it? Yes! What about the amazing Queen Victoria? English people speak of the Victorian Age with pride and patriotism. I want you to remember one of Queen Victoria's greatest statements. When an emperor from Africa came and asked what the secret of their nation's greatness was, she did not take him to see London's crown jewels, or to hear their men speak in Parliament...no, none of these expected things she did. Instead, she asked for a Bible. She took this Bible, showed it to the African chief and said, "This is the secret to England's greatness." So as you can see, females are not ALWAYS the weaker sex politically speaking, but by what she supports, I don’t think Miss Clinton will quite be a strong leader, who will bring America up. Mr. Obama, I have heard very little about, but what I have heard seems to be positive. I just brushed by a couple of paragraphs about him, and they all seem to speak about things that could help America. That is politically speaking….. In order to be a good President, you need to have a strong foundation to rely on. Not your Congressmen, not your advisors, but your faith. It is known that Mr. Obama went to a Muslim school as a young boy and later received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Here is an article I found from a website that I think explains what I am trying to say.
Barack Obama says he's a Christian who came to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in his mid-20's. But does he consider himself "evangelical?" That question was posed to him recently by Cathleen Falsani, the religion reporter for the Chicago Sun-Times. Here is Obama's response:
"Gosh, I'm not sure if labels are helpful here because the definition of an evangelical is so loose and subject to so many different interpretations. I came to Christianity through the black church tradition where the line between evangelical and non-evangelical is completely blurred. Nobody knows exactly what it means.
"Does it mean that you feel you've got a personal relationship with Christ the savior? Then that's directly part of the black church experience. Does it mean you're born-again in a classic sense, with all the accoutrements that go along with that, as it's understood by some other tradition? I'm not sure."
He continued his answer: "My faith is complicated by the fact that I didn't grow up in a particular religious tradition. And so what that means is when you come at it as an adult, your brain mediates a lot, and you ask a lot of questions.
"There are aspects of Christian tradition that I'm comfortable with and aspects that I'm not. There are passages of the Bible that make perfect sense to me and others that I go, 'Ya know, I'm not sure about that,'" he said, shrugging and stammering slightly
Obviously Mr. Obama doesn’t quite know what being saved really means, which is not a strong faith foundation. Honestly, I don’t think either of these candidates have one.
Why has the United States been so strong in the past? Because it relied on Biblical truths to uphold it. If you will notice, almost every President who has strayed away from the Biblical standards America has stood with, the country does not prosper. If former President George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, or even Ronald Reagan could see America today in the spiritual aspect, what would they think? As people fail to remember God, the country fails to prosper. If Mr. Obama is voted as President, what will he do to bring the United States back to where it was? If Miss Clinton is voted, what will she do?
Although it is very sad to admit this, I think we can all see that America is in need of revival in the spiritual sense. I know for a fact that prayer has been banned in several schools across the U.S. What happened to the spiritual foundation that George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and other famous Presidents have fought to build? I was talking to a man yesterday, visiting from the States, and he told me many things that I couldn't believe. He is a manager at a certain place with a certain company, and he told me that when he sends out newsletters he cannot say "Keep me in your prayers" or anything of that spiritual sense. When I inquired why this was, he told me he didn't even know which of his employees and co-workers were saved. So of course, not wanting to offend anyone, he keeps his newsletters to the point without including anything about God in them. He also told me that he saw over 150 students recently graduated from a Suicide Bombing College! People are going to college to learn how to blow themselves up and hopefully kill people in the process! Why? What happened?
Many people say that America is in the state it is today because President Bush made the decision to bomb Iraq with nothing but verbal accusation but no proof of nuclear weaponry, of course forgetting they were also trying to find one of the biggest threats to this world, Osama Ben-Laden. And now they say the U.S has to pay billions of dollars for bombing a nation that, from what we have found, has no material threat in it forgetting yet again about Osama. And what does that mean? Taxes go up, people drop out of work, businesses shut down. But have American people forgotten so quickly? After the September 11 tragedy, they asked for war! And now they blame President Bush for bombing Iraq. I don't understand that.
In 1959, Fidel Castro overthrew Fulgencia Batista, in Cuba, and made it Communist. Cuba is approximately 80 miles of the Coast of Florida. Communism was at the doorstep of America. Thankfully, the U.S was able to retain it to Cuba...but Communism was so close to coming to America. Do we want that to happen again? The United States has been the giver of aid to war torn countries and to nations in need. Let's keep it that way. The citizens of America should thrive to be a better nation, giving hope to itself and the rest of the world. The only thing that keeps me in comfort about these upcoming elections is that every man or woman elected into office, every vote that is past, and every election that is made, has to first go through the checkpoint gate of God's eyes. He will not let anything happen without Him passing it through first. You may ask why He allowed President Bush to bomb Iraq. I do not know that, but I know that He has a plan, and He will fulfill that plan. I just hope and pray the next President of the United States will come to understand and see how much faith determines fate. The fate of countries world wide. Although what happens or what will happen may not look like you want it to, God sees the big picture, and He will protect us all...
