Passed on...
Last night, around 9:30 at night, my grandfather passed on. But as one of my friends said when another friend died, he did pass on. He passed on his love. He passed on his knowledge. I really need you to pray for my mother and her family especially. I mean, this is her father we are talking about. But...in a way, I'm glad he passed on. He is in a place where he feels no more pain. He is walking with God, singing with his beautiful voice with David, and is listening to Abraham speak. He is in a place where there is no darkness, only light. He no longer has to fly half way around the world to see me, he can just peep out of the window of heaven and look down and watch me. Although I never got to spend a lot of time with my Grandpa Guy, something I wil always remember about him was his hands. Long fingers, leathery hands. Hands reflecting hard work and perseverence. Hands that were stretched out towards the heavens in worship. Hands that gave all that could be given. Yes, he has passed on, and we will miss him, but I know that he is in a better place, waiting for me to come and join him in heaven. I love you, Grandpa Guy. Thank you for passing on to me one of the greatest things a girl could ever have. A grandfather's love...
