Not a tear falls
Not a cry penetrates her ears...
But all she wants is to weep
And get near to the One who hears
The silent shouts of her heart,
And knew her from the start.
But for some reason she's still.
And can't open up 'till
Something hurts her,
But she wants nothing to hurt her,
So around and around she goes.
She's a stone, a statue, a robot
Doing things for reasons she knows not,
When she tries to do right
Instead of taking flight
She pummels to the ground in frustration
Wondering if this is all a hallucination.
If it's all unworth it,
If it's unreal.
But looking back in the past
She's seen that faithfulness can last.
But was that a dream? It seems sureal,
Can she trust something sureal to heal
This anger, this hurt, this frustration
Of hallucinations.
Again she looks back
And sees the tracks
Of two, not one.
This is no longer unreal.
Looking more carefully
She can clearly see
That one had fallen
And was stumbling.
Looking at herself,
She sees
That she's on her knees
Fallen and hurt
And blood is on her shirt.
Anger!!! How could He leave her be???
But then He jogged her memory.....
She slowly slipped away.
Tripping and falling 'cause she didn't obey
The simple things He asked of her.
And stumbling had gone by in a blur.
And now she lies
Trapped in her silent cries.
Waiting for strength to stand
Hold to the pierced hand,
And continue with this journey.
With a new found hope...
